For over 100 years, they have successfully contributed to policy making and legislative development, championing members’ views on the critical issues of the day.
With more than 1,000 members – from the most recognisable global brands to the most innovative start-ups – they represent the largest manufacturing sector in the country.
The Corporate London Walk
As part of Mental Awareness Week, they asked us to arrange a lunchtime walk, lasting for about an hour, in the area near their office. The office is based a stone’s throw from Soho.
The aim was to get staff out of the office, away from their desks, taking some exercise, learning about their local environment and most importantly, relaxing.
Our first attempt to walk was hijacked by this summer’s appalling weather. We willingly re-arranged and eventually set off with 15 members of staff.

“I booked a bespoke walking tour for colleagues to recognise Mental Health Awareness Week. On the day in question, it was drizzling as we bravely set off on our walk around Soho. Unfortunately, before we had got very far, the heavens opened and we had to shelter in a nearby church to avoid getting soaked. It didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon, so Andrew suggested we return to the office and postpone for another date. This I did and happily we were able to rearrange the date at no extra cost.”
